The R9 SuperMax was introduced by Taylormade in 2010. R9 is all black and ultra forgiving with a focus on distance and ease of use. Because of the deep and low center of gravity, R9 owns high MOI and high launch. The shallower face and larger head allow a large sweet spot and confidence at address. What makes R9 driver special is the use of Flight Control Technology, which helps the head to be adjusted to 8 different positions altering trajectory and direction by changing the loft, lie and face angle.
