Taylormade in 2012 is all about tuning and speed. Improved aerodynamics, hotter faces, improved ball speed.

The flagship of TMAG (Taylormade Adidas Golf) is the R11 line.  The R11 was the most successful launch in the modern golf era.  The new Taylormade R11S driver and fairway metals is a step up from its predecessor, which from all the tour success, (Luke Donald, Darren Clarke) and record sales is a pretty difficult feat.
TaylorMade have taken adjustability to a new level with the launch of the new Taylormade R11S driver, which features an updated sole plate for even more game improvement.
Based on the solid foundations of the existing R11 driver, the new model’s Adjustable Sole Plate adds another two settings to the club so golfers can now change the face angle of the TaylorMade R11S driver to either a neutral, slightly open, open, closed, or slightly closed position.
The loft of the club can also be altered by adjusting the sleeve through TaylorMade’s Flight Control Technology – what makes the R11S so impressive is that the loft and face angle can be adjusted independently, and now golfers can change the loft up to 1.5° up or 1.5° down.
The Taylormade R11S driver also features TaylorMade’s Movable Weight Technology – golfers can adjust the weights in the heel and toe to help promote either a draw or a fade.
As you can see, it’s white, but we’ve got the full story in the next issue of Taylormade R11S driver, which goes on sale on December 29.

 Features
- The sole of the club is designed for better surface transfers because TMAG says that on the downswing air flow travels from the heel to toe.  Making this area more aerodynamic will improve speed.  The transition from face to crown has also been tweaked for better flow.

-Like every TaylorMade driver since the R500 Series (launched in 2002), the Taylormade R11S driver incorporates TaylorMade’s Inverted Cone clubface technology, which dramatically expands the COR zone, which is the portion of the clubface that delivers maximum ball speed.

- Thick, Thin Crown- a new casting process allows the crown to be more responsive and able to move weight where it can be used for to increase ball speed.

- The CG is moved further apart and closer to the face to improve ball speed
