released their entirely new R9 Forged
Irons forged with metal. TaylorMade
R9 Forged used a back cavity design, distributing more weight to the edge. This
characteristics plus elegant appearance and solid clubhead make R9 Forged Irons classical choose for
golfers. TaylorMade R9 Forged added
unique dual-layer body construction including steel casted shaft, softly forged
clubhead heel and face with high forgiveness and playability, providing
extremely great hand feel. The simple look and clean line of TaylorMade R9 Forged not only show the

when aiming target. At the same time, TaylorMade
R9 Forged distributed more weights to club edge to increase MOI and

TaylorMade R9 Forged Irons adopted progressive face
thickness and top line as well as the Inverted Cone Technology (ICT). R9 Forged 3 iron to 5 iron is 1.9mm, 6
iron and 7 iron are 2.2mm, 8 iron to AW is 2.3mm and SW is 2.5mm. The use of
this design is supposed to increase COR when using long and medium irons and
provide comfortable contact feel when using short irons. Another feature of TaylorMade R9 Forged is the progressive
clubhead top line design. R9 Forged
3 iron to 7 iron is 8.3mm while 8 iron to S iron is 6.8mm. All of the R9 Forged Irons adopted TaylorMade’s
famous ICT. This technology is showed in the inner part of club face, ensuring
a higher ball speed on miss-hits and stabilizing the whole face speed and distance
at each swing. TaylorMade R9 Forged
adopted the new face cavity design which conforms to the 2010 new rule of USGA
and R&V.
